Another national award!! Regional finals are next month - we will keep you posted. In the mean time, here's our interview about about nomination. Thanks for your continuing support. We couldn't do this without our coffee loving customers.
We import Specialty green coffee beans directly from Wilmer's home country Honduras. We are passionate about sustainable farming and ethical business and we always work with smaller family farms and farm cooperatives.
Our coffee is amongst the highest graded and best quality worldwide. The green beans are stored here in out Northumberland roastery and we hand roast to order in small batches. We ship nationally and also worldwide both retail and wholesale.
In the first two full years of trading we have doubled our imports and last year we won the Nation young market trader award which recognised our quality products and service in the groceries category.
This year we have bee shortlisted for the Great British Entrepreneur award in both the food & drink and family business categories in the North East and we are delighted that our brand, service and products are being recognised at a national level again!
Our story hasn't been easy and to achieve this recognition reminds us of how far we have come and why we are working so hard.
We are working to improve direct relationships between Honduran coffee producers and end users here in the UK. In doing so, we hope to make specialty grade coffee accessible to everyone that appreciates great coffee.
At wholesale level we are working on a shared value project with respect to importation of coffee into the UK. The aim being to improve the bottom line for independent coffee retailers as well as reduce the carbon footprint caused by food miles.
