Dugout Sponsorship

A few weeks go we were contacted by Alex, a professional footballer and graduate of Newcastle United football academy. Alex founded “Dugout”, a venture that provides sports coaching across Northumberland and Newcastle. One of the programmes provided is the Dugout football academy, aimed at providing high level coaching to young players aged from 6 to 16 years old.

Dugout Academy is currently working with over 40 children and Alex wondered whether Caribe Coffee Company would be interested in sponsoring the Academy and providing all players with a kit to wear for the sessions.

A quick look at the website showed that the venture is a positive addition to it’s community, it is inclusive to those with disabilities and promotes healthy life choices for children and young adults. We absolutely loved the idea of supporting such a fantastic local business like ourselves and were very happy get involved.

We took a trip across to Dugout’s Elite Performance centre to meet the coach Alex and take a look at the training area and new addition gym. Wilmer had a few goes kicking the ball at the top left target and did a pretty good job! The kits should be ready soon and we will be heading over to support the academy with some of the friendly games set up. 

We took Alex a selection of coffees and promised to bring more for the supporters in the coming months!
